This time, we are highlighting two outerwear models featuring KODENSHI® Down.
Military items never fade in design and functionality. Developed with substantial national budgets, it’s no surprise that they continue to be appreciated for their enduring design and practicality. The items introduced this time are modified military pieces, updated with KODENSHI® Down padding to better suit modern lifestyles.
Reversible Down Cardigan $380.00
The down cardigan, inspired by military liners, serves as a versatile piece that works both as outerwear and as an inner layer. Additionally, this version features a reversible design, greatly expanding styling possibilities.
The material is also noteworthy. The outer fabric is a high-density weave weather cloth made from a polyester (65%) and cotton (35%) blend, treated with a water-repellent finish, which effectively blocks drizzle and wind intrusion.
The reverse side uses reinforced polyester ripstop. It has a glossier finish than the front and features a quilted design, giving it a more sporty look.
The padding features KODENSHI® Down, which absorbs and radiates far-infrared rays (body heat) emitted by the body and helps maintain an optimal temperature. By blending KODENSHI® with down, it ensures reliable warmth while preventing overheating. This means you can stay comfortable even when wearing it in air-conditioned trains or indoor spaces.
Now that we've covered functionality, let's focus on the details. The front features adjuster buttons that allow you to cinch the silhouette, creating a sharper look.
The cuffs are ribbed to prevent outside air from entering. Even when worn oversized, the cuffs stay in place, ensuring the fit doesn’t look loose.

Also available is a down coat with an A-line silhouette, resembling a dress, made from the same fabric as the down cardigan. Its long length provides excellent insulation while remaining lightweight. It’s designed to function not only as outerwear but also as an inner layer for long coats or as a layering piece with short outerwear.
The down coat is, of course, reversible. The outer and inner fabrics have different textures, allowing for a completely different look.
Cinching the waist with a belt creates a flared look that further emphasizes the A-line silhouette. The snap buttons allow you to fasten it without removing your gloves, showcasing a practical detail you’ll appreciate when using it.
