Nanamica is releasing a new GORE-TEX® Plain Toe Shoes in its fourth collaboration with Japanese shoe brand REGAL Shoe & Co.
Building on the concept of previous collaborative models, we created a leather shoe featuring a GORE-TEX membrane with excellent waterproof and breathable performance.
The shoe uses the oblique last found in REGAL’s high-performance “REGAL WALKER” leather shoe line. Shaped to follow the natural form of the toes, with a roomy design that does not constrict the forefoot, it offers an open, unrestricted feel almost like being barefoot, together with relaxed comfort.
The formal closed-lacing design is combined with a lightweight, highly flexible stitchdown construction, giving the shoe the lightness and soft feel of a deck sneaker.
The upper is made from cowhide tanned by Sanyo Leather, one of Japan’s leading tanneries. The navy version pairs a navy velour upper with white stitching and sole to create a marine-inspired look. The black version combines a smooth leather upper with matching stitching for a tonal finish, making it a versatile option for a wide range of settings.
The outsole uses Vibram’s lightweight Mini Ripple sole, offering excellent cushioning and durability, while the insole incorporates material from American insole manufacturer OrthoLite® for enhanced cushioning. The shoe is designed to remain comfortable even during long periods of walking.
By combining REGAL’s tradition and functionality embodied in its leather shoes, with Nanamica’s characteristic use of GORE-TEX fabrics and design, the collaboration proposes an even more comfortable style for creatives working in the city.
