I never thought I’d say this, but I look forward to the rain these days. Then I can feel so blessed in having this great coat that repels all the water. The stiff fabric that contains a layer of GORE-TEX creates a nice A-line form, and just throwing it on creates a cool put-together look. I also like how every time the hem flutters, you get a peek of the check pattern inside lining.

Raining again….. My mood darkened for a moment, but I’d forgotten that I was wearing my waterproof coat that totally covers my body. I’m no longer going to let a bit of bad weather get to me anymore.

With my previous coat that I always wore, the cuffs got so worn out that I couldn’t wear it anymore, but I don’t have to worry about that with this coat. The cuffs are sewn in a special way that even if it gets frayed, they’ll repair it for you. I’m glad that I can wear it everyday without any worry.

~ What is 2-layer Cotton Twill GORE-TEX Fabrics?〜
The fabric used for the Balmacaan coat is highly waterproof and breathable. It is a 2-layer GORE-TEX Fabrics that doesn’t let water through but allows moisture to be released outside. GORE-TEX membrane was laminated onto original cotton twill made of beige and orange color yarn. By using yarn of 2 different colors, it has a glossy appearance depending on the angle and exudes an elegant mood.
I wanted to be light and nimble at least on my days off, so I ventured out hands free. The weather forecast was off and it started to rain suddenly, but it’s ok. The cafe where I’m meeting a friend is just right there. I have this coat that repels rain so everything is just fine.

Coat cuffs are easily worn out, but the coat I’m wearing now is durable and made in a special way so that it can be exchanged if it gets frayed. That’s why I don’t have to take any extra care for it and wear it as much as I want to.

~What is 3-layer Cotton GORE-TEX Fabrics?~
The fabric used for the Soutien Collar Coat is 3-layer GORE-TEX Fabrics with excellent waterproof and breathable properties. Composed of a GORE-TEX membrane in between a cotton fabric in the front and nylon tricot in the back, it is a sturdy fabric that doesn’t allow water to permeate but lets moisture be released outside.
~ Sleeve cuffs are repairable~
The cuffs of the Soutien Collar Coat are anti-cracking cuffs that prevent fraying. Because they are sewn together using a special technique of adhesive sewing, if it does get torn or frayed, just that part can be repaired to be brand new. The coat is structured to be worn often and for a long time.
