nanamica boy in Daikanyama Vol. 40 Vest, pants, and mameshiba.

It’s a sunny day and I’m out with my mameshiba. I’m in my usual neighborhood style, a vest layered over the parka I was wearing at home. The relaxed-fit pants doesn’t require a belt, and is the perfect thing to wear for taking a walk.

The vest is just the right warmth for this time of the year. It’s easy to move my arms in, and it’s perfect for keeping up with mameshiba, who likes to run around energetically. There are 4 pockets on the inside so if I’m just going out in the neighborhood, I don’t need to bring a bag.

The course we take for these walks is always up to mameshiba. Whichever street we take there is a laid-back mood in the air, which is the charm of Daikanyama.

What is the functional material used for the vest?

The material is weather cloth, which is known to be used as standard material for outdoor wear. It is woven at high density using mixed yarn of 65% polyester and 35% cotton. The weather cloth used for the outer material of this vest was made lightweight for the spring and summer season. The surface has fluorine water-repellant finish, and the texture is matte and supple.

The lining is original mesh material made of a combination of KODENSHI®︎ polyester and washi paper. This enables the inside of clothing to maintain a natural warm temperature, which keeps the wearer comfortable.
